They will start in the run up to Christmas to help a reduction in waste and illegal dumping in the mews lanes.

Councillor Mickey Cooper said

Following discussions between myself, the Glen Development Initiative and the Council, I am would like  to inform residents  that on the 7th December a special blue bin collection will take place in Rosemount. This will include blue bins containing normal recyclable contents and also those blue bins which have not been collected by the council until now due to the contents including non-recyclable materials. This ONE OFF initiative is designed to release space in the blue bins of local residents and reduce the dumping of excess household waste in mews lanes in the Rosemount area.

This will be followed on the 26th January 2017 by a bulky lift of household goods. All residents will be leafleted in the coming weeks to inform them of what items will be included in the bulky lift and the times when the items will be collected, every single street in Rosemount will be included in both initiatives

In future, if you have other items that need to be collected but cannot arrange this through council you can contact the Glen development Initiative on 02871262171 who will liaise with council to have them removed. I will also work with council to arrange further bulky lifts in the coming months to ensure the local area remains free from excess waste.
