New proposals are set to be rolled out across Rosemount in an effort to tackle illegal dumping.

A number of residents have been plagued in recent years with waste such as fridges and mattresses dumped outside their homes.

Councillor Mickey Cooper says plans are being put in place to increase the number of bulky lifts in the area, he added:

"Other actions will include work to fast track new council powers to allow heavier fines and enforcement patrols in the Rosemount areas.

"I will be informing all residents of the dates of the first bulk lift and one off blue/black bin collection in the coming weeks.

"I have also arranged for the council to liaise with the Glen Development Initiative (GDI) to act as a point of contact for residents who require household items to be disposed of by council but who have difficulty in arranging suitable times and locations with council for their collection."
