Northern Ireland's Deputy First Minister insists he's ready to answer questions about his former role as an IRA commander.

Sinn Fein's Martin McGuinness says he backs a historical investigations team and a truth recovery process to help reconciliation in Northern Ireland.

He wants the British government to open its files on "The Troubles" too - and says he's prepared to appear before tribunals which are investigating the past.
