The man, aged in his 20s, was late for a Ryanair flight to Amsterdam on Thursday morning.
A Dublin Airport spokesperson said he arrived with a woman after the flight's boarding gate had closed.
The man was spotted banging on a window trying to get the aircraft to wait.

He was restrained by Ryanair staff until Gardai arrived at the scene.
