Man rescued from River Foyle as searches continue for Jack Glenn

A man has been taken to hospital after being rescued from the River Foyle.

Foyle Search and Rescue (FSR) were called away from the search for Jack Glenn on Sunday to come to the man's aid.

The PSNI raised the alarm shortly before 3pm after members of the public saw the man enter the water. 

A spokesperson for FSR said:

"Foyle Search & Rescue Boat crew were diverted from the search, arriving on scene, locating and rescuing a male from the river.

"He was transferred to Prehen Base and removed onward to hospital by NIAS Ambulance, the Police Service of Northern Ireland were also in attendance.

"Foyle Search & Rescue with the assistance of Mourne River SAR & CRS will continue to plan and carry out searches until jack is returned to his family."
