Man armed with handgun demands cash in Belfast robbery

A man armed with a handgun has made off with cash, Cigarettes and scratch cards during a robbery in Belfast. 

He demanded money from a safe on the Lockview road at around 10.15 last night. 

Detective Sergeant Kelly sad “Shortly before 10:15 pm it was reported that a male entered the premises with a handgun and demanded money from the safe.

"He then made off with cash along with a significant quantity cigarettes and scratchcards."

The man is thought to have been late 40s early 50s and was wearing a grey top with a yellow hi-vis vest, black boots, faded blue jeans and a black beanie hat.

His face was covered but It is believed he wore glasses with a thin frame.

Anyone with information has been asked to contact police on 101.
