Inspector Hunter said:

“At approximately 1.30am on Sunday 16 October it was reported that a number of doors in the Lisfannon Park area had been damaged. We are looking for a male in his late teens or early 20s in relation to this.

"At the time of the incident the male was described as wearing a beige coloured top and grey tracksuit bottoms. He was also observed carrying a hatchet which he used to damage a number of doors.

"The male was last seen walking in the direction of Fahan Street.

"We are appealing to anyone who knows anything about this incident to contact Strand Road Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 131 of 16/10/16. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
