A Catholic Bishop has told Q Radio victims of historical institutional abuse deserve a restored government here.

More than a year ago an inquiry recommended apologies and compensation for those abused in State and Church care.

Bishop Donal McKeown says the church is ready to play its part.

Victims groups say re-living their painful past wasn't worth it because there has been no action.

The Secretary of State has been asked to step in and implement redress schemes.

Earlier, Karen Bradley told Q Radio that's not in her plans.

Discussions will begin again at Stormont tomorrow between the five main parties in a bid to get the executive up and running again.
