15 new COVID-19 deaths announced and 528 new cases according to DOH

There have been 15 further deaths related to Covid-19 and an additional 528 confirmed cases in Northern Ireland.

It brings the total number of coronavirus-related deaths in Northern Ireland to 774, according to figures from the Department of Health.

There are 391 confirmed Covid-19 inpatients in the hospital system, with 53 of those in intensive care.

There are now 22 beds available in ICU, and 101 beds in the wider hospital system, officials said.

Yesterday, 5 more people have died in Northern Ireland having contracted COVID-19 according to the Department of Health.

Anyone arriving into Northern Ireland from Germany or Sweden will now have to self isolate for 14 days.

The new restrictions came into force at four o'clock this morning.

It follows a COVID-19 outbreak at mink farms in the country.

The total number of people here who have tested positive for the virus is 42,497.
