Recovering from a rib injury, Rory McIlroy is confident he can get a second US Open title at Erin Hills.

It starts on Thursday.

The Holywood man missed out on recent tour events, including the PGA Championship.

The World Number 2 told Sky Sports News, his preparation hasn't been hindered too much by his injury.

McIlroy has criticised the organisers' decision to cut back thick, long grass, arguing that players should be able to adapt.

Dustin Johnson won last year's second Major at Oakmont Country Club.

Meanwhile McIlroy has added the Scottish Open to his list this summer, ahead of the Open Championship at Royal Birkdale.
