Liam Boyce and Shay McCartan say they intend to make the most of their chance to shine for Northern Ireland.

The strikers are in the squad for Friday's friendly against New Zealand at Windsor Park and the World Cup qualifier away to Azerbaijan on June 10th.

Jamie Ward and Conor Washington are both missing but Kyle Lafferty and Josh Magennis are included.

Boyce and McCartan are expected to figure on Friday night.

26-year-old Liam finished top scorer in the Scottish Premiership, with 23 league goals for Ross County.

The former Cliftonville player wants to take his club form to the international stage.

Michael O'Neill has called up 23-year-old McCartan from Glenn, near Newry for the first time.

The former GAA player has developed a reputation as a free-kick specialist with his League Two club, Accrington Stanley.
