AP statue to be unveiled on Cheltenham opening day

The bronze statue of Moneyglass champion jockey Sir Tony McCoy will be unveiled on the opening day of Cheltenham next month.

AP is being immortalised in bronze at Cheltenham Racecourse.

Dublin-based sculptor Paul Ferriter has created the artwork for the north entrance.

AP was champion jump jockey a record 20 times.

He has ridden over four thousand winners during his career.
