Allen reaches fourth round of UK snooker championship

Antrim's Mark Allen is through to the fourth round of the UK snooker Champtionship in York.

He saw off Peter Lines by six frames to four on Monday night.

The Antrim man will next meet Joe Perry for a place in the quarter-finals.

Five-time winner Ronnie O'Sullivan will aim to avoid becoming the latest high-profile casualty in York on Tuesday.

England's second-ranked Judd Trump was knocked out by Scotland's 2006 world champion Graeme Dott - who's now down at number 30.

Meanwhile - two-time title-holder and former world number one Neil Robertson was beaten by Englishman Mark Joyce.

O'Sullivan faces Wales' Michael White this afternoon.

Mark Selby and Ding Junhui who are either side of Trump in the world's top three - also suffered early exits.
