PSNI's Rural Crime Unit closure sparks anger

There's anger and dismay over the disbandment of the PSNIs Rural Crime Unit.

North Antrim MLA Robin Swann learned the unit had been withdrawn in a meeting with the Chief Constable.

The Rural Crime Unit was set up by the then Justice Minister David Ford in 2013, partly to counterbalance the closure of many rural PSNI stations.
