Police are appealing for information following the hijacking of a car in Craigavon yesterday evening.

Detective Sergeant Dave Stewart said:  “A report was made shortly after 10.30pm that the driver and passenger in a Volkswagen Passat were travelling along Brownlow Road, when two men wearing balaclavas attacked the car.

“One male smashed the windscreen of the vehicle with a bat, and then smashed the driver’s side window.

“The passenger was dragged from the car and a substance that is believed to be petrol was then thrown inside.

“The car was found burnt out a short time later on the Tullygally Road.

"We would appeal for anyone who was in the area at the time or who may have any information to contact us on 101 quoting reference 2006 of 26/3/21.”
