One more coronavirus related death in NI and 146 positive cases

One more person has died in Northern Ireland after contracting coronavirus, according to the Department of Health. 

It brings the death toll recorded by the department to 2,098. 

It also confirmed 176 individuals have tested positive for the virus since yesterday, from 1,473 tests. 

There are currently 180 people in hospitals across Northern Ireland with coronavirus. 

24 of those patients are in intensive care units, 18 of whom are on ventilators. 

Meanwhile, the average 7 day infection rate per 100,000 in Northern Ireland is 69.6. 

The area with the highest infection rate remains Mid Ulster on 88.1 per 100,000, while the lowest remains Fermanagh and Omagh on 38.5.
