A man has been killed in a stabbing incident in Tallaght.
The 25-year-old was stabbed at around 7.15pm in the Mac Uilliam Road area.
He was taken to Tallaght University hospital where he later died.
A second man, aged in his 40s, was injured in the incident.
He was also taken to Tallaght hospital for treatment to non life-threatening injuries.
The scene remained sealed off on Tuesday night.
The state pathologist has been notified and a post mortem is due to be carried out on the victim on Wednesday.
Gardai have appealed to any witnesses to come forward.
They want to speak to anyone who was in the area between 6.30pm and 7.15pm or any passing motorist with dashcam footage.
