Half of Northern Ireland's schools have had confirmed cases of Covid - 19 - according to the Public Health Agency.

Since the new term commenced there've been more than 2 thousand positive covid 19 cases in schools.

That involved more than 600 incidents between the start of term in august up until tuesday of this week.

The Agency says an incident can be a single case, a cluster of two to five cases or more than 5 cases.

figures show that  302 schools had a single postiive case made up of 228 primary schools 59 post primary and 15 special schools.
