Police have discovered an implosive explosive device in Broughshane, after an attempt to set a car on fire.
It happened at around 10.50pm in the Woodland Park area.
Army teams were called to the scene and made the device safe, however damage was caused to the window of the vehicle.
A 36 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of a number of offences, including possessing an explosive device with intent to endanger property, attempted arson endangering life and criminal damage.
He remains in police custody.
