Glenavon are away to Crusaders in the Danske Bank Premiership on Friday night (7.45pm).

A win would move Gary Hamilton's men to within three points of the third-placed Crues with a game in hand.

Glenavon go into the game on the back of a dramatic 2-1 victory at Glentoran on Monday night.

Derry City are in League of Ireland action, away to Shamrock Rovers.

Saturday fixtures include the clash of the top two at Windsor Park - Linfield against Ballymena in a re-run of the League Cup final from last Saturday night which the Blues won 1-0 thanks to Andy Waterworth's early strike.

If the Sky Blues win this time, the gap at the top would be reduced to three points and they have a game in hand.

There's a basement battle in Bangor - Warren Feeney's first match in charge of Ards is against Newry City. A victory for the north Down side would leave the relegation rivals level on points.

Meanwhile, Larne are set to clinch promotion to the top flight.

They go to Harland and Wolff Welders in the Championship.
