Under 15 members of the Fintona Q Sports Academy, challenged each other in the final of the Irish U-15 Pool Cup tournament on Sunday.

The competition was organised by the Irish Pool Association and held in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Dundal, Co. Louth.

Tiernan McSorley from Dromore and Owenie McMenamin of Drumquin, were the two young players representing Q Sport for their age groups.

Both players got past the semi- finals and ended up facing each other in the final stages.

However, Tiernan ended up with the 4-2 victory over his friend and team mate, becoming crowned the Irish U-15 Pool Cup Champion of 2017.

Q Sports Academy are working towards promoting more cue-sports games for young people, holding competitions every week for these young stars coming through.
