A woman has reportedly been left badly shaken after an attempted robbery in south Belfast

It's believed to have happened in the Lisburn Road area, shortly after eleven o'clock on Friday night.

She's understood to have been assaulted with a hammer, by a man outside a restaurant.

He tried to take her handbag, but left the scene empty-handed along Lower Windsor Avenue.

He was described as being around 5’6” tall and was wearing a grey hooded top, blue jeans and a dark coloured baseball cap.
