Police are appealing for information following the theft of two tractors and other items from a field on the Woodside Road in Ballymena.

It was reported that sometime between 3pm on Sunday 31 July and 7.30am on Monday 01 August two John Deere tractors and a red coloured McCauley low loader trailer along with a large quantity of diesel were stolen from a field on the Woodside Road close to the GAC Pitches. It is believed the tractors turned right as they left the field countrywards in the direction of Kells possibly along the Deerfin Road.

One of the tractors is a 6810 model that is fitted with a unique stainless steel exhaust with a 45 degree metal waterproof top instead of the normal black coloured exhaust. The tractor is also fitted with a front axle suspension system. The second tractor is a 6900 model and is fitted with broad “continental” tyres on all four wheels.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the theft or anyone who knows of the whereabouts of these items to contact officers in Ballymena quoting reference number 225 dated 01/08/16. Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
