Two men have been assaulted and robbed by a group of masked men armed with a gun in Belfast.
The pair were approached by three/four attackers, while getting out of a taxi in the Sandhurst Drive area at around 2.30am this morning.
Police say one of the suspects proceeded to assault one of the men, while another assailant produced a firearm.
Demands were made for the victims to hand over belongings which included an iPhone.
It is believed the suspects made off in a white Seat Ibiza, which was found burnt out in Ardmonagh Parade around an hour after the incident.
Detective Sergeant Corrigan is appealing to anyone who witnessed this assault or saw the white Seat Ibiza being abandoned and set on fire.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference numbers 113 and 147 22/03/19.
