St Pat's Maghera pupil home for first time after being hit by school bus

A St Patrick's College Maghera pupil has returned home briefly for the first time after she was knocked down as she stepped off a school bus.

Eleven year old Mary O'Neill faces many more months in hospital.

Mary and her 14-year-old brother Fintan were hit by a car on the Staffordstown Road near Randalstown in January.

Mary was able to come home on Sunday for a few hours. She’s in a wheelchair with impaired speech, after initially being in a coma.
