Four suspicious objects have been found in a Christmas Eve security alert in Coleraine.
A security operation is under way in the Heights area of the town.
A number of homes have been evacuated and diversions are in place.
Local independent MLA, Claire Sugden, who is a former Justice Minister says over 100 people were asked to leave their homes:
"Speaking with police this morning, I understand they are investigating four security incidents in Coleraine. Over 100 people were asked to leave their home in a cold, wet, windy night - two days before Christmas."

"I understand most are now back in their homes as police worked quickly to secure the area,
This behaviour is unacceptable. The few that wish to disrupt the lives of others, including no doubt their own family and friends, have no support. They are thugs and making a poor show of themselves and nothing more."
"Investigations are ongoing and thank you to the PSNI for their swift action and local residents for being co-operative at a time when they should be with their families enjoying Christmas and feeling safe.
"If anyone has any further information, please call police on 101.
Sinn Fein MLA Caoimhe Archibald said the incident has caused serious disruption to residents.

“This is disgraceful. The last thing people need is having to leave their homes in the middle of a cold winter’s night and at a time when emergency services are already under pressure during a public health emergency,” she said.
“Those responsible have nothing to offer local people apart from disruption and inconvenience.
“I would appeal to anyone with information on this incident to contact the PSNI.”
