A record daily number of Covid-19 cases has been recorded here.
Figures issued by the Department of Health show 3,286 new infections in the past 24 hours.
Three more people have also died after testing positive for the virus in the same period.
On Friday morning, there were 256 Covid-positive patients in hospital, of whom 34 were in intensive care.

Meanwhile, a record 11,182 new infections were reported in the Republic on Friday.
83 per cent of them are estimated to be the Omicron varian.
