New art exhibition lifts lid on life here - rising star artist says things have to change

A new art exhibition in Belfast has been creating quite a stir in its opening week.


 
It features exhibits with powerful messages about the conflict here, also sexual harassment, abortion and same-sex marriage, among other issues.  
 
It's all the work of rising star artist Shauna Fox who's originally from Bangor but is based in London.
 
Belfast Baps at the Sea Holly gallery in the Cathedral Quarter (till August 31st) is her first solo exhibition and is getting rave reviews with the work selling fast.
 
Shauna says her heart is still here, but some things have to change...

There's a portrait of victims' campaigner Raymond McCord, who Shauna describes as an inspiration.

The 21-year-old says her 'peace baby' generation needs to know more about the dark days of the Troubles to help ensure it can never happen again...
