A man has been charged with attempted murder following an attack in east Belfast.
The 49-year-old suspect is also accused of possessing an offensive weapon during the incident on My Ladys Road which happened in the early hours of yesterday morning.
He's due to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court later.
Police have previously said two men were involved in an altercation and weapons were used.
It happened at the junction between Pearl Street and My Ladies Road just before 7am.
A 53-year-old man is being treated in hospital for serious injuries.
