A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a series of burglaries in south Belfast.
A number of properties were targeted in the Galwally Avenue and Church Road areas in the early hours of this morning.
Entry was gained to sheds, outhouses and a car and several items were reported stolen.
The suspect is being held on suspicion of a number of offences including theft, burglary and disorderly behaviour and remains in custody at this time.
Detectives would ask anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the Galwally Aveune and Church Road areas between 5am and 8am on Friday morning or anyone with any information which could assist with their enquiries to contact them at Musgrave on 101 quoting reference number 227 13/09/19.
Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
