Firefighters were called out to reports of a fire in the abandoned Thornhill College site in Culmore Road, Derry/Londonderry last night.
The flames were under control by about 11pm, after seven fire engines arrived at the scene shortly after 8pm.
It is believed the blaze was started deliberately.

Thornhill College, which was the inspiration for Lisa McGee's hit comedy Derry Girls, has been targeted by vandals in the past.
In 2019 local SDLP Councillor Angela Dobbins called on developers to demolish or secure the vacant buildings after two deliberate arson attacks in as many nights.
Speaking at the time, she said she would be asking the developer of the new retirement complex planned for the campus, to either demolish the buildings or erect a perimeter fence to stop people trespassing on the property.
