The DUP and Sinn Fein are being urged to jointly approach the UK government and ask for the release of compensation for victims of historical institutional abuse.
Survivors were told this week a financial redress package will not be available until at least next year as a result of the collapse of Stormont.
It is understood DUP has raised the issue at Westminster during talks with the Conservative Party.
However The Treasury says that it is is a matter for the Northern Ireland Executive to deal with and it is unlikely they will give the funding without Sinn Fein agreeing to it as well.
Margaret McGuckin from SAVIA wants the two largest parties to come together for the sake of victims.
Q radio spoke to Sinn Fein's Gerry Kelly about the potential for both parties approaching the UK government for the cash.
