Co.Armagh lorry driver admits plans to assist unlawful immigration

A Co.Armagh driver arrested over the deaths of 39 people in a lorry in Essex, has admitted plotting to assist illegal immigration.

Maurice 'Mo' Robinson's cab was attached to the refrigerated trailer in which the bodies were discovered last month.

The 25 year-old from Laurel Drive in Craigavon, is also charged with the manslaughter of 39 people.

However he didn't enter a plea on those counts at the Old Bailey in London. 

A 23 year old man from Co.Armagh will appear in Chelmsford Magistrates court in Essex today charged with Human trafficking offences. 

He's Christopher Kennedy with an address at Corkley Road in Darkley.
