Co. Antrim man quits Alliance Party Executive after sectarian remark

A County Antrim Alliance Party member has apologised after making a sectarian outburst on Twitter.

David Honeyford from Glenavy tweeted that "unfortunately unionists have been bred to hate Catholics more than corruption, Pathetic really."

Mr Honeyford has now aplogised for his remarks, and has resigned from his post on the Alliance Party's ruling Executive.
