The Northern Ireland poultry processing giant was bought for £1 billion.

By Iveren McCallion

Moy Park, which employs over 6,000 people at sites in Craigavon, Ballymena, Dungannon and Cookstown, was bought by Pilgrims Pride for £1 billion yesterday.

The acquisition is being welcomed locally.

But local representatives are asking for the global firm to safeguard local jobs.
