A County Antrim church has succeeded in preventing their hall becoming a listed building.

Grade Two listing for First Broughshane Presbyterian Church hall

has been rejected by Mid and East Antrim Council's Planning Committee.

The Northern Ireland Environment Agency argued that the hall had architectural and historical merit,

but the congregation believed their building wasn't fit for purpose.
