Ballymoney is edging closer to having its own dedicated road racing museum.

Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Councillor Darryl Wilson's motion calling for it passed committee stage last night .

It would be situated in Ballymoney Town Hall which already houses a lot of road racing memorabilia.

But the move still has to be ratified by the full council.  

The Ballymoney area is considered one of the epi-centres of Nothern Ireland road racing, having produced a number of international stars, most famously the late Joey Dunlop.
