Tower Centre, Ballymena

Ballymena's Tower Centre has a new owner, local business magnate Sam Morrison.

The town's first ever shopping mall, launched in 1981, had been on the market for £6 million.

It formerly belonged to the boxing promoter Barney Eastwood.

The Tower Centre has suffered from multiple vacancies in recent years.

Sam Morrison's company Corbo had previously owned Ballymena's rival Fairhill Shopping Centre but sold it last year to a UK-based investor.
