A dangerous plant that's invading a number of  Ballymena suburbs has prompted a Ballymena councillor to ask Council to deal with the problem.

Pictures taken by Councillor Stephen Nicholl reveal Giant Hogweed is now a major problem along the Braid and Maine river banks.

Councillor Nicholl says it's important to stamp out Giant Hogweed before it gains a foothold:
