Anti-social activity in Coleraine escalating with arson

Coleraine town centre has suffered 15 months of antisocial activity says cllr William McCandless.

Vandals in Coleraine case of arson in Coleraine have been branded "disgusting".

It's after two bins were set alight next to a property behind Church Arcade, firefighters and officers put the flames out.

Just before the fire was found two youths were seen running from the area in the direction of Anderson Park.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen them.

Q Radio learned of a second incident of bins being set alight at St Patrick's church last night.

Bins behind Church Arcade were also lit and left next to property in a separate incident last night.

They've prompted comments from local councillor William McCandless who says more resources are needed to stamp out the ongoing problem.

Mr McCandless says the town centre has been rife with anti-social activity for the past 15 months:
