Robinson rues the weather at the Aghadowey Pit Bikes

Nigel Robinson, was one of many to fall foul of the changeable weather conditions at the second round of the Aghadowey Winter Series, for Pit Bikes.

After a damp start, the sun shone, but a heavy shower during the days proceedings, left the track rather slippery.

In race one Nigel was left on the grid as his machine stalled, nevertheless, he got going, and finished 5th.  Race two, he was taken out on the opening lap, and in race 3,took 4th but in the last race of the day, he was out of luck, after another slip off!

Kenny Robinson was making his Winter series debut, but problems in practice, hindered his progress, Dad Malcolm, gave up his racing, as a carburettor was taken from his bike and put on to Kennys to get his machine going! Kenny went on to take three podium finishes, and a slip off!

Irish superbike champion, Nikki Coates was in action, but was out of luck, crashing out in three of his races, but vows to make amends at the final round in a fortnights time.

Ajay Carey was the only rider to score four wins from four starts when he topped the junior Pit Bike class, from Dylan McCrory and Matthew McCord and Danny Crosset

Colin McLaughlin continues to lead the mini GP class, with Michael Owens and Shea McCrory both crashing out of podium placings, Ken McFarland was runner up.

Jordan McCord was the best of the 160 runners, with Jamie Coates and Eunan McGlinchy the best of the 140class.  In the Novice and newcomers minimoto races, Issac marks and Bradley Moore were both on form, along with Rubens Boyd best of the newcomers.

The third and final round will take place on Saturday 26th November, More details next week
