Leu will swap Moldova for the Oval this year

Linfield and Glentoran sign international pedigree

Linfield have signed former New Zealand striker Kris Bright, while cross-town rivals Glentoran have snapped up 25-year-old Moldovan midfielder Alex Leu, pending international clearance.

Former All Whites international Bright is 30 this year and his move to Linfield will be his 15th club, the most recent of which was in South Africa.  While Leu (25) has one cap for Moldova, and joins the Glens after playing for Moldovan side FC Spicul last season.  Leu will link up with former Rangers player Nacho Novo.

They join a number of Northern Ireland internationals who returned home in the summer to play in the Danske Bank Premiership.  Roy Carroll and Sammy Clingan moved to Linfield earlier in the year and winger Paddy McCourt sealed a move to Glenavon.
