The former Man United and Northern Ireland defender left after six months in the job

Pat McGibbon has resigned as manager of crisis club Portadown after six months in the job.

The Ports are bottom of the Premiership and this week lost an appeal against being docked 12 points by the Irish FA.

Former Man United and Northern Ireland defender McGibbon has been speaking exclusively to Q Radio Sport.

McGibbon's former assistant, Vinny Arkins, takes charge for this evening's home game against Coleraine - it starts at 5:30pm.
