Glenavon are sitting top of the Danske Bank Premiership by a point after a 2-0 home win against 10-man Newry City on Saturday night.
 
The late goals were scored by Andy Hall and Ben Doherty, who sealed victory directly from a corner kick.
 
Newry's Declan Carville was sent off. 
 
Meanwhile, there's renewed speculation Lurgan Blues midfielder Mark Sykes could be on the move across the water.

Linfield had briefly hit top spot on Saturday afternoon with a 2-1 win at Dungannon.

Seanan Clucas was sent off for the Swifts with almost half an hour to play and the Blues came from behind to win it with a goal in the 88th minute from defender Mark Stafford.

Cliftonville won 2-1 away to Coleraine.

Institute had a 1-0 victory against Warrenpoint at the Q Radio Arena. Michael McCrudden hit the spectacular winner. 

Ballymena were 3-0 winners over visiting Crusaders.

But the top scorers were Glentoran who beat Ards 4-0 at the Oval.

Curtis Allen scored twice to pass 100 goals for the Glens, but midfielder John McGuigan was sent off near the end.

The draw’s been made for the Toals County Antrim semi finals next month. 

Ballymena will host Linfield with Larne at home to Crusaders.

Both ties are to be played on Tuesday the 27th of November.

Derry City are on the look-out for a new manager after parting company with Kenny Shiels.

The club issued a statement on Saturday afternoon:

"Derry City and Kenny Shiels have decided to part company as of today.

"We acknowledge Kenny's contribution to the football club over the past three seasons, one of which was particularly difficult.

"We wish Kenny the best for the future.

"The club will make no further comment."
