Antrim snooker star Mark Allen has hit a sensational maximum break in the first round of the Northern Ireland Open.

He compiled the second competitive 147 of his career in a 4-1 victory against Chinese opponent Si Jiahui.

The 35-year-old's only previous maximum came at the 2016 UK Championship.

He said Sunday's break at the Waterfront Hall is "right up there with the best moments of my career" - adding "to do it here means so much to me."

"I couldn't stop shaking on the black, I just had to let my arm go though and luckily it went in."

Allen spoke just after the match:

Dunloy have secured a hat-trick of Antrim Senior Hurling Championship titles.

They beat O'Donovan Rossa in Sunday's final at Corrigan Park in Belfast - 3-23 to 1-14.

The Belfast Giants have powered into the last eight of the Challenge Cup.

They made the quarter-finals by thrashing Fife Flyers 6-2 at the SSE Arena on Sunday evening.
