Hughes intrigued by prospect of working with coaches

Cookstown’s Aaron Hughes says he was intrigued by the prospect of working with young coaching pair Ian Cathro and Austin MacPhee at Hearts.

The 103-times capped Northern Ireland international made his Hearts debut against Raith Rovers on Sunday. The score was 1-1.

He’s just become part of Cathro’s new-look defence. Hughes was one of four new signings.
