Glentoran and Coleraine have home ties in the Europa League preliminary round on Thursday evening.

Faroe Islands team HB Tórshavn visit the Oval (7pm) while the Bannsiders welcome La Fiorita of San Marino (7.30pm).

Former Glens striker Curtis Allen is now back with Coleraine.

He's hoping both clubs can make it to the next stage of the competition:

The one-off ties are behind closed doors and will be played to a finish.

It's Glentoran's first European encounter for five years.

A victory at the Oval would see the Irish Cup winners travel to Motherwell for a first round qualifier next Thursday.

But Mick McDermott's men are expecting a tough test with their opponents flying high in the Faroe Islands Premier League.

The Bannsiders are favourites to progress to a first round meeting with Maribor of Slovenia.

Here's Curtis again:

The 32-year-old is enjoying life on his return to the Showgrounds for a second spell:

That double came in a 3-0 warm-up win - against his old club in Belfast last week.

Off the pitch, there's mixed reaction to the IFA's decision to reject Institute's appeal against automatic relegation after the Danske Bank Premiership season was cut short due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
