It was a deja-vu defeat for Ballinamallard United at home to Portadown on Saturday.

Last time these two sides met at Ferney the game ended the same way - 2-1 in favour of the Ports.

And, when the Fermanagh outfit travelled to Portadown earlier this season the scoreline ended much the same.

The home side went behind to a harsh 36th minute penalty - and went further behind courtesy of a Stephen Hughes goal.

The Ducks' Shane McGinty managed to pull one back with half an hour to go - but it wasn't enough.

Portadown have now gathered 6 of their 9 points from wins against the Mallards this season, who sit in tenth.
