The local suicide bereavement group are hosting a speaker on the subject of grief and loss following suicided in Omagh on Saturday of next week (1st October).
Local suicide support group PATHS (Positive Action To Help Those Bereaved by Suicide) will be hosting the well-known Irish author and television presenter Christy Kenneally at Omagh's Tara Centre on Saturday of next week.
He'll be delivering a talk that deals specifically with the subjects of grief, loss and bereavement following suicide.
Jimmy Carrigan, who's a facilitator with the group, is urging people who may have been affected by the issue to come along.
"He's a renowned speaker on the subject," he said.
"We would encourage any family member who has been bereaved by suicide to come along," he added.
PATHS have hosted the Cork-native previously, an occasion described as "worthwhile" by Jimmy.
"We had him give a talk in Omagh a number of years ago and it was very worthwhile and beneficial for those in attendance so it is great to welcome him back again.
Anyone who wishes to attend are being urged to contact PATHS by Monday 26th of September, as places are limited.
The event will take place on Saturday 1st October at 10 AM at the Tara Centre.
