It moves the Lurgan team to within three points of league leaders Ballymena.

Man of the match Andrew Mitchell scored twice in the first half with in-demand Mark Sykes and sub. Jordan Jenkins on target after the break.

Three of Saturday's scheduled Danske Bank Premiership matches have been called off.

Newry against Linfield, Ballymena at home to Institute and Glentoran against Warrenpoint were postponed after pitch inspections.

The two fixtures to survive the weather - Ards v Cliftonville in Bangor and Crusaders v Dungannon Swifts.
